Rangatahi Physical Activity & Nutrition Health Promoter – 40 hours per week
In this role you will create and implement kaupapa Māori health promotion projects to increase physical activity and improve nutrition for rangatahi, whānau and their communities. You will help develop rangatahi as champions for healthy lifestyles in their communities and integrate a Whānau Ora approach in your work.
Our ideal person will have experience or qualifications in either health promotion, nutrition or physical activity and have a passion for working with rangatahi.
Personal Qualities:
•Highly effective written and oral communication skills, with sound time management skills
•Practices te reo me ona Tikanga
•Computer literate, including Microsoft Office and good report writing skills
•A self-starter who shows initiative and is proactive
•Full, clean, current NZ drivers’ licence
This role will require safety checking through the police vetting system under the Vulnerable Children Act 2014.
