Job Description 

KAIKŌKIRI – PRACTICE NURSE – 32 to 40 hours per week Monday to Friday

We are expanding our clinical team and are on the lookout for an experienced Practice Nurse to join our busy Medical Centre.

We offer a wide range of health and social services to our Wairarapa community, including a Very Low-Cost Access Medical Centre.

Do you have what we are looking for?

•Current Registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council

•Experience in Practice Nursing (minimum 2 years’ experience)

•Working Knowledge of Diabetes 

•Understanding of Tikanga Maori and confidence in working within a bicultural context

•Excellent interpersonal communication and organisational skills

•Well-defined networking experience and relationship management skills

•An ability to effectively manage own workload and work independently

•An ability to efficiently collect and manage electronic data

The following experience will be an advantage for applicants to this role: 

•Current vaccinator and smear taker certification 

•Competent user of MedTech 32
